I've been getting Brazilian waxed for a few years. I love, love, love the smooth feeling.

When I first considered getting waxed, I had a laser treatment. It hurt like hell. Much more than waxing ever has. But the results seemed permanent. I say seemed because the treatments were so expensive that I didn't continue with them.

In my quest for something more long lasting than waxing, I tried an IPL device purchased from Amazon. The device had 4+ star reviews. I adhered to the instructions for 4 months. It did literally nothing. In fairness, a proper, spa quality IPL treatment would probably be better. I haven't tried that, yet.

Its not a top priority, as I've got better things to spend my money on/save for, but if I do find myself with the money to do it readily available, I've considered having it done on my scrotum, perineum, and the shaft of my penis. I currently shave those areas and prefer them bare, as does my wife, so not having to shave would be nice.

hmmm might be worth a try when i'm older, depending on the cost. i'm not hairy so it's not like there will be much of a difference but i still think it'd be nice if it wasn't expensive.

@wheresmrcunnunglis I’d say it reduced approx 99% of the hair I used to have. I still do the treatment once or twice a year to make sure I remain hairless. It’s slightly painful but perfectly tolerable the pain goes way in one sec it doesn’t stay there.

@sheikalan May I or we ask what skin tone is your's (pale, white, olive tanned, black, oriental, Asian) and did it leave the area darker permanently or was your tone the same just hairless afterward? Some people talk burns that make me go... oh with a puzzle look 😔

I’m olive tanned. and no it didn’t leave any burn or discoloration on my skin I wouldn’t go back or recommend it if such thing happened. choose wisely before you go read reviews and ask as much questions as possible.

If I wait my leg hairs get long enough to suck through my summer motorcycle pant mesh. That rips them all right out every time I move in motion. Lasts as long as waxing. Not as painful either with the distraction. 😁

I could never do a home-kit. The only time I've seen shave at home, is some salons saying to do that (as per their mandatory policy) 12 hours before the lasering itself. Lol. Not medical advice, in any shape here my comment. ,

There is a lot of them, but they are extremely expensive.

It's not a medical IPL device like the ones at the salons, it's a smaller device that you can safely use at home. I heard that Philips Lumea is really good, and I've been thinking about getting one. It's pricey, but if it will save me from shaving and rash/cuts coming with it, I'm willing to save some money for it 😅

I had a wax for my 13 year old prom and my friend says if you wax often enough the hair will stop growing back so laser hair removal is not necessary unless it’s cheaper than waxing.

Wow. Have you had the sessions done so often now that's it's become also permanent? After all, it's never 100 percent permanent, but it's pretty close. Personally if I had a girlfriend, I'm sure I'd date her because she similar to like you would also be into being feeling great about herself physically by professional salons professional spas or clinics etc etc.

@KostasKouvalis I shave it all the time. I don't get from where this whole French don't shave come from. In France we have a stereotype that German and English don't shave but that's quite false, the only women I've seen who don't shave are blonde one they think they can get away with not shaving but everyone see their legs hair even if it's blonde.

I don't know either. Maybe a few decades ago it was a thing like it was everywhere. I tried to explain to him many times, but he's convinced they started shaving for a while, but now hairy is coming back. And he didn't believe me that even MEN in southern Europe shave.
They have the same stereotype about Italian women.

I think German and British maybe shave less than other Europeans, but even so the percentage of women who don't still isn't that high. I know East Asian women shave the least, and some Latin American.

@KostasKouvalis Just legs, arms I tried but I got burnt and allergic reaction (I think my skin is too thin or something on my arms) and nobody shave their arms anyway, for face I don't either I don't have hair on my face so nothing to shave. Only Mexican and Portuguese shave their face cause their hairy.
That's so weird.
German and British shave less cause it's cold in their countries (some years ago like in the 70s when German came to France to the beach they weren't shaved but I think it's not the same nowadays).

Probably. Some people do. That's not good. I think removing it from arms and face it too extreme. I know Israeli and many Islamic girls like to remove every inch. Most of the time you can barely even see it on arms. Though some Latina girls have really hairy arms. Here they rarely shave their arms.

It's mostly bullshit. The results are only guaranteed for 3 years and the technique is nothing special.

You can actually just buy the Phillips IPL and do it yourself for far less a cost, and far better results.

I considered this, but have seen the results of when it went wrong. If not done perfectly, it can leave scars. Circular burn marks all over the legs sounds ugly and I rather shave or wax.
