Why do people overrate above average celebrities?

Like Zendaya or Hailee Steinfeld, Jennifer Lawrence or Ana de Armas. They're good looking but there's nothing really unique about their look and everyone acts like there is. Do you find them to be unique in your opinion?

Is it just because they're famous? Cause I did notice that the more famous they are the more their beauty is talked about

If they're famous, they're likely to be seen and known by a lot of people. So they're a talking point for starters. The lowest common denominator will often attract the most attention as its low hanging fruit. Also they are exposed the most on media etc

It's probably healthier to avoid celebrity worship culture. It's tailor designed to make people dissatisfied about themselves so you'll buy their products.
