Would you STOP SHAVING, or WHY would you stop?

I’ve started to think about stopping any SHAVING. It’s just too much work. And I ain’t even in a relationship, to bother to shave anything at all.

Somehow the amount of immature comments scares me a bit.

So my boyfriend doesn’t mind when I don’t shave at all. Usually when I shave, he shaves with me too so it’s equal. All the same parts (minus facial hair since I don’t have any and while he does that I shave my arms and legs or something else). He loves me regardless of whether I shave or not and is attracted to me even if I haven’t shaved down there for a while. In fact he was really interested in seeing how full it could get. He thought it was cool.

Since we both haven’t shaved for a while, it’s grown out. His facial hair is thicker than ever. He asked me if I was bothered by it, but of course I wasn’t at all. We don’t mind each other’s hair. I actually thought he stopped eating me out because mine grew too long but actually I found out the other day (when he did do it) it was because he had been taking a break from it to study how to do it better for me. How sweet. I might shave anyway just to make it easier for him too.

So I don’t wear lots of revealing clothing and don’t feel pressure to shave in my relationship therefore that’s why I don’t for long periods of time. Our hygiene levels are the same as each other although if I know I am about to be eaten out I make sure to pay more attention to my down there area.

Well, it's been a longtime trend, since the early part of the 20th Century when women stopped wearing dark stockings and started wearing revealing (Flapper styles) sleeveless dresses, and dresses that hit at and right above the knee, and sheer stockings that were skin-colored.

So, to make a difference between men and women, women started to shave, I expect. Though, again, the first women to shave underarms and legs were 19th-century prostitutes.

In European and Middle Eastern countries, there was a lot less shaving. Why it caught on in America, I'll never know. I know it's made Schick, and every other razor and shave cream company, billions and continues to do so.

More recently, because of the ubiquitousness of online porn films, people started shaving EVERYWHERE!!! Men and women. In porn films the whole point was to show every INCH and aspect of male and female genitalia: urology and gynecology 101! Ugh.

Used to be having an impressive "bush" was sexually desirable. Meaning, it was a sign that a man or woman was sexually mature. Now, it seems to be associated with cleanliness and hair is looked upon as dirty. And this from PORN films!!!

So natural or not, it's a matter of taste and tradition. Some people go bare, others go hair. Hair isn't dirty unless your body is dirty. Some people like the look, others don't.

I don't mind some well groomed hair over her pubic bone area, but I'm not going near any hairy labia. Hairy legs on a woman are also a 100% no-go for me.

I might be able to look past hairy armpits, but I think its a bit gross.

Having said all that, you should do whatever you choose. Just know that your choices have consequences. I mean, I wish I could just shave my head and not have to mess with the hassle of hair on my head every day, but some guys just look bad bald and I've been told by women I'm one of them. If I did shave my head I know I would be seriously limiting my dating choices, and I have to weigh that in my decision making. And I have chosen to keep my hair because it's worth the hassle to me. I have to make a similar choice about whether I shave the hair on my face and neck given that it constantly gives me ingrown hairs on my neck. But I do it because I prefer it to the alternative. It's a choice.

You have to make the same choice about your own hair, and guys will make their choices about you based on their own personal preferences. That is life, and that is freedom.

If you are doing this for “feminism” purposes just realize you are jumping on a very (gross) bandwagon. I doubt you came up with his idea yourself but rather you are getting influenced by modern feminist bs and virtue signaling.

Sure some guys won’t mind but many will be grossed out by it. And of course you can always say “well if the guy is really meant for me he wouldn’t mind”. But really can I expect women to not judge me if I decided to stop wearing deodorant, never trim my nose/ear hair or do something else gross?

I don't shave anything. Now, for comfort, I trim back some of the tumble weed (just a little). But that's it. As far as what I think for girls, I feel the same way. No girl needs to shave anything. If there's stuff they'd like to trim back for comfort, go right ahead. I think you should only ever be comfortable with what you have. To trim or shave something just because society weighs an opinion is stupid. I have spoken with my married cousin about this, and he said he trims back for his wife's comfort. Which I think is great! unsaved armpits are disgusting, they smell horrible and women who celebrate them typically have B. O problems, Armpit hair holds onto sweat and because sweat goes rancid very quickly the odor caused by the sweat covering the hair permeates.

Alternatively hairless armpits only hold onto the smell as long as they are wet, you can easily go to a bathroom and wipe them down with a paper towel and the odor pretty much goes away.

I won't talk to a women who has hair ass legs and arms they can miss me.

I stopped shaving a while ago because I didn't like how I felt or looked shaved. Initially had a problem with body odor, but I looked up how to properly apply deodorant with pit hair and that fixed it. I haven't had any other problems, and it has helped with hygiene, looks, and sensitivity overall.

I wouldn't stop just because it's not a hassle for me (I don't get cut , and can shave quite fast) and I like the feel of smooth legs in my bedsheets. I have been shaving my underarms since I was about 19. Since I started, my pits don't smell nearly as bad or nearly as fast as before I did. There is no reason for me to stop, so it won't happen.
I also shave my balls. I don't know if women like that better or not, but it feels better, so they are staying shaved.
