A friend stopped by my house one day and I had some folded laundry out on my bed. She walks in and starts giggling and says "Oh my god you have granny panties!" I was kind shocked. I never thought I wore granny panties. They come up to my hip and fully cover my butt. I don't think they are granny panties. They aren't particularly sexy but no one but me sees them on me anyways. I always thought granny panties were the ones that you pulled up to your belly button, or briefs. Am I wrong?

I don't understand all this judgement and ridicule about brief panties. I find the name "granny panties" to be offensive, because it's used to ridicule the women that wear/prefer them as well as the men who prefer them. The truth is that many men prefer women in silky nylon brief panties (I do). They're very feminine looking and sensuous feeling to the touch. But I'd be afraid to admit it to others because of the popular custom of making fun of brief panties and the people who like them. Many women also prefer the feeling of luxurious panties covering their privates, rather than a strip of material going up their butt crack. So can we just call them brief panties? So called granny panties are otherwise know as full-cut briefs. Different people will have different opinions what they are. If you like them then wear them! You're friend seems immature tbh!
