I ask this because I prefer 1950s outfits to modern ones. I think it looks pretty and feminine without looking attention seeking and trashy therefore I wear this style more often than leggings and t shirts. Would people think this is anachronistic and that I’m crazy?

+1 yWould absolutely love that. I'm a man of a similar mindset. All I wear are vintage clothing from 1920s, 1940s, and 1950s. I also have a Victorian outfit and one medieval one.
I am sick and tired of today's trends for women. Yoga pants, ripped jeans, booty shorts, et cetera. They're not feminine and classy like the styles of the 1950s. Furthermore, the 1950s styles were made to flatter a woman's body type so they looked good on all shapes and sizes.51 Reply- +1 y

If the guy were me, absolutely. Hard to speak for other guys since there are so many varied tastes. I know we pretty much all love halter tops, crop tops, and some other things, so 1950s clothing probably has more variation but might be in that category of universal male appreciation!

Some would, but probably not most. That's okay though, just find a man that fits you.

Traditional men would love it. Although that woman would have to be politically conservative and not super-liberal (as you are), or else, it wouldn't make any sense. I myself, wouldn't mind it or care too much.

I thought we discussed that I’m not actually a hardcore liberal already? Being slightly more left wing than right wing does not a “super-liberal” make. I don’t even get along with hardcore social justice warriors, people who kiss drug addict’s asses or extreme feminists and I believe hard work and self betterment are good for the soul. I just don’t think gay people don’t deserve their own lives or that women have little potential but that if an asset. That isn’t the same thing as a hardcore liberal in the slightest.

I don't know how left-leaning you are, but I was a former Democrat/Liberal myself up until 2016 and they went full-on Fascist. Now I'm an Independent and not on any side of politics. If people are STILL part of the Liberal/Progressive party, after the past seven years, then yeah, that in itself is a Red Flag, even if you're Canadian (in fact, even more so if you're Canadian, cause Trudeau is arguably worse and more Orwellian than Biden.)
You also had to preface the terms by saying "hardcore" SJW's or "extreme" feminists, as if it makes any difference and isn't redundant language. That's like saying "I don't like extreme racists, radical rapists, or hardcore pedophiles."
But I don't like politics or really want to talk about them today. You're entitled to think and believe in whatever you want. I'm just sayin', the winds are changing and even normies are fed up with the likes of Biden, AOC, and Trudeau. You are free to be whoever you want, though. - +1 y
Politics is a spectrum, it’s not black and white. I, for one, enjoy having the freedom to make my own money and not depend entirely on one person to support me especially if I need to get out of an abusive relationship. I rather like having the choice not to have children. This is hardly man hating feminism but it is feminism. On the flip side I don’t think demonizing masculinity or male sexuality is the answer which is a mutated and toxic form of feminism. Politics is nuanced, especially on an individual level. Some of my beliefs are more liberal than some and some are more right wing but the answer isn’t about going entirely right wing about everything. Do I think myself and other nursing staff should be vaccinated because it’s selfish not to? Yep. Do I think health care should be accessible to everybody? Yep. Do I think people should get handouts for legitimately every reason they can come up with? Nope. Do I think drug addicts need to learn to help themselves? Yep.
You don’t know me at all. Please stop making unfounded assumptions about me just because you feel entitled to it. - +1 y
You being independent, making your own money, having rights as a woman, not having children, or anything else, require being "Liberal"/Progressive and feminism is literally 100% misandry, aka "Patriarchy" if you want to use the actual term. You literally cannot be a feminist without believing in Patriarchy (hating all men and wanting to take away their supposed "power" in society) anymore than you can be a Christian without believing in Jesus. And that's not my opinion, that's what actual objective feminism is.
People claim politics is "nuanced," but it really isn't. It's just one cult of authoritarian weirdos trying to control the other cult of authoritarian weirdos. And again, that's due to the people who make the rules of Liberalism/"being left leaning" and Conservativism/"being right leaning." In other words, you don't get to pick and choose what is "Liberalism" (or "Conservativism") because those in power will already tell you what it is and what you're supposed to think.
Just like you can't be a feminist that loves/respects men, you can't be a "Liberal" without playing the rules Liberals want you to play. And people will judge you accordingly just like they would if you told people you're a Jesus-hating Christian.
It's not an "assumption" for you to call yourself a Liberal, and then claim you "really meant something else when you said 'Liberal.'" I'm just telling you, a lot of men are fed up with that man-hating bigoted sh*t that is general North American Liberalism. - +1 y
Not to mention, what you said about forcing vaccines on people who don't want them, despite how unsafe they are, how many blood clots they can cause, how many deaths have been caused by them and swept under the rug by Pfizer, or how ineffective and useless these particular COVID vaccines have been, prior to herd immunity.
But like I said, I don't want to get into politics today. You're clearly very Liberal, but you're putting out mixed messages and pretending like you aren't. That's only going to make things messy for you, and any non-liberal man you're interested in down the line, especially if you're also talking about "traditional/conservative" things like vintage fashion from the "Problematic, oh-so-white" 1950s. - +1 y
If it’s wrong for me to have the independence to not want to be trapped in a relationship where I don’t make my own money at all then fine, I’m a “feminist”. But the fact that you clearly think women deserve no freedom in this society is something you should seriously think about.
Close can look great and look better if you feel comfortable and confident in them.
I wouldn’t be turned off by a lady if she wanted to look like that personally.
I have seen a few lovely ladies pull of a good neo vintage look off really well.00 Reply
+1 yAs someone on the younger side, I'd probably say not. I just grew up with a very modern style and I guess as styles have changed and evolved, so has people's mindset of what they find fashionable.

Yep, I agree with you. Junk hanging out all over the place is the biggest turn off. I have been set up on dates and these are "professional-like almost feminists" women and one time. I ordered 4 martinis 2/2 and it just came out, No. Cordial good-byes. Here's the drinks, taxi, and an entree if you're feeling empty... that was an expensive night !!
I don't want her to go prostitute until I know her better and she's a little fun with her guy kind of thing...
I personally find the 1950s clothes attractive on women too. There are many old fashioned clothes that really look very cool on women
