If the guy wears expensive clothes does it make him more attractive, or could he get away going to the local department store, and look just as good?
The saying "Clothes make the man" suggests that the clothing a person wears is what defines them and their social status. However, in reality, it is both the clothes and the person wearing them that contribute to their overall appearance and impression.
While wearing expensive clothes can certainly make a person look more stylish and put-together, it doesn't necessarily make them more attractive or likeable. Attractiveness and likeability are influenced by many factors, including personality, confidence, grooming, and body language.
It is certainly possible for a person to look good and stylish while wearing clothes from a local department store or more affordable brands. The key is to choose clothes that fit well, flatter one's body type, and suit one's personal style and taste. It is also important to take good care of one's clothes, keep them clean and well-maintained, and accessorize appropriately.
Ultimately, what makes a person attractive and likeable goes beyond just their clothes. While clothing can certainly enhance one's appearance and confidence, it is only one aspect of a person's overall presentation and personality.

For me, it's both. You have to be a good person but the clothes you wear is all part of the parcel. Clothes send a message whether you like it or not.
And price means nothing when it comes to that. I dress very well but none of those clothes cost me much money. A 200 dollar pair of sweatpants is still just an ugly pair of sweatpants.
A girl that dresses feminine and classy in a vintage flowery dress, but isn't as attractive as a famous model, is still much better looking than that model who walks the streets in ripped up jeans paired with a graphic tee.
Personally, I don't care about clothes being expensive. Especially if he just ends up looking like a douche.
Find clothes that fit him well is more important, something he feels comfortable in.
I'm really not into those expensive people, that's just not my vibe at all.
Clothes mean nothing I've seen plenty of broke men rocking rented Gucci suits. Also, men of high status like Zuckerberg, Jack dorsey, Steve Jobs and so on dressed very casual unless it was some occasion. Men who have real wealth aren't flashy.

Its the man the makes the clothes. You can look sharp and good from a far but if your not sharp yourself then your far from good. Well structured men can pull of any style of clothing and still be respectable. Its all on how they present themselves as a whole
Young Brad Pitt could probably wear a pink bunny costume and still be a heartbreaker and then other guys would be wearing pink bunny costumes.

it's exploited people in vulnerable areas... making the clothes
Look at the people in todays government, need I say more.
It is not the clothing the makes that personIdgaf! That said, I like to dress casually & appropriately. I stick to classic, timeless styles. I can wear a tie & jacket if I have to, but I prefer not to!
A balance of both
