In my opinion if you cannot go more than a day without your hair getting greasy you are washing it wrong!
It's nobodies fault, most of us were never taught how to do it correctly. Once I figured out how to wash properly and which products I should be using for my hair type, I could go up to a week and half without washing my hair depending on my activities through the week.
So can you go more than a day without your hair getting greasy?
Years ago, an older lady told me something interesting about the fact of washing one's hair. She her own mother nearly never washed her hair and seems to never have had greasy hair. Apparently washing thouroughly one's hair, and thus by that process removing the natural grease (sebum), the skin's reaction is producing more sebum... Which means in general one should not wash too often and certainly not use too often soap, or whatever shampoo, when washing one's hair. Now and then only warm water will do. Worth to give it a go I daresay ;0)
I had a friend who went to school in London for a year. She wrote to me once and said that people in England don't wash their hair. She said even the guys don't wash their hair or even shower regularly. They wear a lot of cologne too. I wonder if this is what you are experiencing.
I have dry curly hair and I wash it every other day. I could go longer than that without washing my hair but it would be a hassle to detangle my curls.
s My hair doesn't get greasy because it's not straight. However, I know when it's time to wash it and it lasts more than a day.

Depends if I sweat or I doubt I'm correctly treating it tho, im sure it's suppose to be more maintenance than just shampoo and conditioner ☻
I wash it every 7-10 days. Recently I started getting into hair oiling so I add more oil to my hair. It doesn't make it greasey but acutally moisturizes the hair to make it more healthy.

I could, just don’t really want to. If I’ve just been sitting at home doing nothing I might skip the odd day, but my hair is extremely dense so tends to pick up anything I get on my hands like a sponge

i work in healthcare so for me personally no- you have blood, bile, spit etc flying around its like ThunderDome somedays.
Sure I can. I usually wash my hair everyday. Applying coconut oil and Jamaican black castor oil for 20 mins before every wash. So my hair is very neutralized.
Also use a wooden comb that also helps with those benefits.
