I don't have a problem with hijabs or head scarves. Some of them are really pretty. They are just clothing.
Head scarves were common in Europe through the early 20th century and are still worn in places of worship or as fashion accessories today.
I went to Catholic school from 1st through 8th grade. Some of the young nuns in their traditional habits were cute. And even though I'm no longer religious, I still have a soft spot for some of the old moves that had nuns
A fully covered woman with only her smooth, feminine face exposed can be intriguing and quite sexy.

So, although I don't see your point about the reason for hijabs, I don't have any problem with them at all.
I do have a problem with full face coverings, though. They look oppressive and, frankly, a bit ominous.

1 yFirst of all, as well women as men can have "terrible thoughts and evel looks". Now, if a woman likes and/or feels safe (r) by wearing the hijab, so be it, and no problem. On the other hand, forcing women to wear the hijab out of idiotic religious and political fanaticism seems plain abuse to me. Let the ladies choose what they prefer to wear.
For the record, when I was young, many Christian women wore a scarf over their head, because this was a plain custom, and a simple way to protect their hairdress. When going to the church, men had to remove their hat, and women were allowed to wear a head cover, hat or scarf.
Mind that wearing a hijab only to signal other citizens someting like: "hello, did you notice, I'm a good muslim..." Well, sorry, that seems rather childish. No offence meant.

1 yI think it’s kind of a little weird and it feels like control. I don’t really like any of the Middle Eastern religions. I find them kind of like almost creepy and cult like. muslims and Jews they’re almost like cults to me. I actually had friends who were Muslim and Jewish and they all converted to other religions for more freedom and they told me when they were Muslim and Jewish. It felt like being in a cult to them.

The hijab is a beautiful expression of faith and empowerment for many Muslim women. It's wonderful to see individuals embrace practices that hold personal and cultural significance. Wearing a hijab can indeed be a powerful way to maintain dignity and integrity, reflecting a woman's values and beliefs. How do you feel when you wear it?

There are countries in which you MUST wear it and if you dont or your hair shows they take you to the police. I dont think its empowering. It should be a choice and not forced upon anyone. I have a friend whose family lives in Iran but she lives Cyprus. She is not muslim and told me that they are not strict as before in Iran but she doesn't want to risk being taken to the police so she is wearing a head scarf. Maybe theyve “relaxed” since Amini died…

1 yIn the examples you've shown I don't find them offensive. The most conservative ones - I believe they are named Niqabs, which allow very little to be seen are tiresome. I'm not sure why people so desperately want to move to Western Europe or the U. S and still maintains an identity that labels them as unique and implies some demand for special treatment are compatible. If I was willing to endanger my life and the life of my family; I would want to assimilate to as large of a degree as possible. I don't think it's worth any sort of mean or violent response nor do I think that it makes sense to have legislation that requires complete orthodoxy in dress. I do wonder about the reasons for the constant sensitivity to any small % population to dress, speak, draw cartoons, or complaint about being treated as different from the predominant population would insist on making as many fashion, political choices that clearly separate them from the culture to which they wanted to reach.

Sounds like Muslim women flatter themselves with thinking they are "Simply Irresistible"
40 Reply797 opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. It's sexist religious dogma that evil men made exist so they could control women.
So not a fan.
But hey if you can willingly not wear one but you are that's alright, I don't care about a woman been sexist to herself. I care more about the guys who are willing to chop off women's heads for not wearing them or disown them.40 Reply3.3K opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. - Personally I don't like on my girlfriend, eventhough she is libral progressive Muslim, only especiall occasion she wear, normally she wear revealing exposure sexy outfits as just like her mum.

Anonymous(25-29)1 yHijab is not just for hair... it's the overall coverage of the whole body... not showing boobs or cleavage or the shape of your body!!
Please don't represent a false message here of the muslims... I don't think so you are a muslim... Just trying to mock islam will get you nowhere!!!
You are in grave danger!!!

1 yIt's odd that seeing a woman's hair will cause impure thoughts, but seeing a woman in full make-up with bright red lips and accentuated cheekbones and eyeshadow, mascara, etc will not.

10 Reply I think it's a form of control. If a guy gets to horny from encountering a woman's face then he should pluck his eyes out
