How to flirt across the room?

I'm sixteen and you know school just started, and there's this new kid. His names David and he's really cute, he already has a lot of friends and seems really outgoing. He's in my history class and sometimes I glance over at him and he's like staring at me and then he looks away really fast. Yet, sometimes he doesn't and when he catches me looking at him I don't look away, and I kinda smile. He smiles when he looks at me but he's always smiling so I don't know lol. I kinda like him though and I want to flirt with him and let him know that. How can I flirt with him across the room without actually talking? thanks :D
