What's the best response to being called cute?

I've got to confess I absolutely loathe the word, because to me it feels like they're calling me adorable and therefore unmanly. But, if I say "don't call me that", people don't listen and keep calling me cute. So, what's a better way to deflect?

Should I just say "thank you" or "I'm not cute, you're cute"?

Well... just take it as a compliment! And say 'thank you'!

I see what you mean though I have often been called 'cute', but not 'hot' or anything. But it;s ok, I'd rather be cute anyway! Not a big deal. I know that I can;t be attractive to everyone.

I understand how you feel since I think similarly. I dunno I just say thanks and if they ask why I'm so unappreciative I simply state my dislike for the word.

Just say "okay" and look sort of disinterested.

Say "fuck you" (not in an angry way, more like the way you would when a friend pulls a prank on you) and walk away. Trying to argue with them makes you look insecure/submissive.
