Not that I've noticed in Finland. Though Finnish women have a bit of reputation for being independent and headstrong, which could also mean that they approach more than those of other nationalities, but I can't say I've ever heard someone encourage Finnish women in general to do the chasing nor have I seen them be more active in that regard than men, so I'd have to say it's a false rumor.
@CuriousNorway Speak to us, please! Do women chase men in Norway?
I think it goes both ways. Both women and men is flirting with each other. : )
I knowots not really an answer to your question especially considering im from Canada, not new Zealand but I don't much care what the social norm is. If i am interested in a guy I'm not going to wait around for him to ask me out. I'll do it.
Not from what I’ve noticed in New Zealand, at least not as a cultural norm. I do think it’s more 50/50 there than in other places I’ve been as to who does the approaching but it’s not expected solely of the women to pursue
In Japan is fine for girls to flirt or tell their guy they like them, or give them gifts for Valentine's Day!

I'm from NZ, and it's not really true, but sometimes, I mean, the guys here like me are more reserved and shy, the girls are more flirty and stuff. Yeah.
Interesting, I never heard about that, I guess I should move in one of those countries ;)
Trick question, Finland doesn't exist.
How so.
It's just a dumb conspiracy theory from Reddit. It's got it's own subreddit, if you wanted to look into it. Not that you would. It's just a mildly interesting read.
Is it similar to the “flat Earth” conspiracy theory?
No. I'm fairly sure people don't actually believe Finland doesn't exist. It's just a meme. At least, I hope it's just a meme. There are some dumb people out there.
No idea, but my one experience with a New Zealand girl was her inviting me up to her room for sex. So I don't know if that's indicative of a culture or just that girl being ready lol
It's an illusion. www.girlschase.com/.../7-approach-invitations-you-ll-get-girls
Women make it look like they're approaching you, but, really, all they're doing, is giving you the bait. It's YOUR job to reel them in, not theirs
You mean their giving hints.
Essentially
If this were true and I lived there I would see zero action haha
I have no idea I live in the United States if it's true I like it
I wouldn't know, but I do remember reading how the first women who could vote were in New Zeland.
In japan Valentine's day girls give chocolate and like a month later is white day for white chocolate where guus give back.
I have noticed that European and Canadian women in general seem more aggressive than US women.
No way! Haha, I got the exact opposite impression when I visited US this summer
@alisonbaker332 but you are female? LOL
? True. Thanks for pointing it out? Don't get why you felt the need to point that out haha
@alisonbaker332 They may be more aggressive here as far as driving and speaking up, but I'm talking about approaching guys.
@alisonbaker332 I live in the USA, I hardly see women being aggressive to approach males. I wondered since you are a female not a male and you saw that women were being aggressive to approach males in USA?
I never heard of that before
Not from I hear in Finland
I'm not entirely sure but it's possible.
Invalid, who told you that?
A lot of people keep mentioning it to me.
Oh interesting maybe it's a new thing
I don’t think Finland?
No..
No idea.
Never heard it
