Just make sure that if you decide to flirt, by winking, that you're not already in a relationship, and tryin'a cheat. That's what happened to me. I had a girl wink at me, and thought she was interested in me. All the signs were there. Well, it turns out, she had been engaged the entire time, and was just trying to get one last fling in before marriage. That's why I have a hard time trusting people who wink at me now.

And as far as your question goes. I don't think it really matters how you do it, just as long as it gets the point across

I mean.. my physics prof in highschool was superhot and used to pull off winks in the hallways in a really slick manner. Whenever I toyed with the idea of winking, though, I was like.. hm. Maybe someone will pass it off as a twitch I might have so.. best not even bother. :P
