Intelligence is actually a must in my preference in women. If she's as dumb as a rock it's very hard to take her seriously. A woman with a head on her shoulders, though, is very attractive.

Why a man afraid of intelligent woman, I think there is no need of afraid. If women are intelligent then it is beneficial for men. Most important thing is that a man should be afraid from a dumb woman, not from a wise woman.

But on the flip side, not many women would be happy dating a man they knew was less intelligent than them. I think this perception that the man needs to be smarter is believed by both men and women.

Depends on personality. Some guys are either egoistic or introverted will have that fear. I think a mature man who is ready for a long term relationship will prefer an intelligent woman. Usually means she is much more independent. I prefer that tbh.
