How to politely say "No" to a girl when she asks you to homecoming?

So I guess this girl likes me, and she wants to ask me to homecoming. First of all, I'm not interested in her, and second of all, I don't like dances. So any advice on how to politely say Maybe both things would be awesome. Thanks

If I were the girl that liked you I would want you to just say you aren't sure if your even going because dances are not your thinga and thank you but if you do go you already had someone you were going to ask. One guy told me he might not go he didn't know so I ended up going alone but I wasn't mad because he was polite about it and I can't force him to go with me if he issnt interested. If she gets upset then its her fault.

I think you should just be honest with her. You don't have to volunteer the fact that you don't like her (unless she mistakenly believes that you do), but just tell her that dances aren't really your thing. It's short, sweet, and to the point. Hopefully, by that point, she will have realized that if you actually had feelings for her, you would have said yes.

Just say "thanks, but I really can't." You don't need to say anything more. I doubt after turning her down she will ask you again. If she would ask you out after that, you would say," thanks for the interest, but I don't think we would have much in common." And leave it at that. Walk away as soon as you can.

There is no such thing as a nice rejection, just get it over and done with as fast as possible so that she realizes you're not interested, and has the time to find another guy.

It's sad, but it's the truth, just say "I'm sorry but I'm not going to the dance" or something along those lines. Sometimes you just can't get through life being the nice guy.

You should be happy a girl even has the guts to ask you to the dance. I would go you could end up liking her and having a great time. But whatever, have it your way and just tell her no.

Tell this girl that you just don't like her like that and look her dead on and say that maybe someone else likes you and there are other fish in the sea. Also say that you don't dance ever and she will totallly understand.
