When I talk to my crush, my mind goes blank? Help!!! I can barely hold up a conversation?

So I like this guy and I think he might like me back. We don't talk that much, mostly because I'm scared too. But a couple weeks ago, I was at my locker alone and he walked by and said hi and then started a conversation with me. I was kinda shocked that he was talking to me and it was like all of the sudden my brain shut down and I basically couldn't think of anything to say in response. I kinda laughed and said generic things like "cool" and "yah"... The conversation was not that interesting and he was talking about stuff that kinda seemed random but that doesn't matter lol. I just want to be able to have a conversation and not shut down. Plus, I think he might think I dislike him because I basically talk to any of the other boys in the class, except him. Any tips on how to start a conversation and keep it going with a guy you like? I don't want him to think I dislike him haha.

Well personally i think when a girl responds with cool or haha or yup etc thats a total turn off and hints to that the girl isn't interested so try to avoid that. And when he talks to u talk about something you thought about b4 talking to him like movies sports basically anything that u could both like

Yah, I kinda figured that. My mind went blank and I couldn't think of a coherent response. And I did it again. A couple of days later, it was finals week and I had just finished my science final. I had basically failed it and was looking for my friends. I was in a bad head space. I saw him but wasn't going to say anything, but he asked me a question to start a conversation and I basically responded with yes and asked if he had seen my friends and then left. I definitely could have used that as an opportunity to start a conversation but I didn't because I was annoyed. Do you think that I've kind of ruined my chances? Other times I have been very friendly but not so much those times.

No its deff fixable. Usually when a girl is shy. I try to make her feel comfortable and relaxed and speak about things she likes until she's not as shy and nervous and then the conversation goes on. In this case where ur both shy. Try to show him that ur just shy and not rude or that u dont like him. Take it as ur playing hard to get. But at some point he might give up. Maybe start texting him. In text u get more time ro think and it will make u relaxed. And next time u see him u guys will both be cool w each other.

Well, I think he just might think I dislike him because I'm friends with his best friend and we always joke around and have fun and stuff but when he's around I don't talk as much. I'm pretty friendly with everyone in the class, though I'm also quiet. He's definitely seen the more fun side of me, so he knows that I talk. I think that I'm just going to say hi to him when I see him in the halls and stuff, even if I can't start a conversation. How should I ask him for his number? I don't want to be rejected if he doesn't like me.

If he spoke to you in the locker that means he doesn't dislike u. And u can ask his bestfriend for his number. Or at least ask his bestfriend what ur crush thinks of u. Itll make him happy. And when he's around make sure that u smile when speaking to him. Just go for it and u won't regret it

Tbh im a guy and its kinda informal but, ask him! It takes so much stress off of us promise even if he says let me think about dont take it as a no wait a couple of days and i have a question its on my page if u woukd share your imput that would be great and im sure he likes u just shy
