An open fly can draw the eye pretty easily because it's something out of the ordinary. They probably weren't looking at your dick but just happened to notice the fly was open.

  did I even say it’s a personal life experience? it’s called having common sense and logic. If you go out with your fly down or you got something going on then you’re going to attract unpleasant looks from people and yeah maybe some may not judge but society is just like that they judge everything
