I think it would depend on how he said and the tone he used. A lot of the time when we (guys) try to talk to girls, especially girls we like, we tend to stick our foot in our mouth over saying stupid things because we are nervous. I tend to think he just chose his words wrong but meant it as a complement. Generally speaking look youthful (young) and being tall and thin (lanky) are consider attractive qualities. I’m thinking he was being nice and paying you a complement.
Well saying that a lady is young looking is a compliment, because men value youth in women, but the lanky part, yep, that indeed i wouldn´t take as a compliment at face value, but if i knew he was into lanky girls then i would take it as a compliment as well. You seem very pretty from your profile pic, i wouldn´t worry about him not being attracted.

Hard to say for sure... it could be a really bad compliment. When I get nervous I sometimes say stupid schtuff.
that was a horrible thing to say to you. whats wrong with 'you aren't my type' besides lots of us love young looking tall girls so you best way to approach it is to just think, well fuck you then. ;)
