I don't know about following, but my boyfriend doesn't reply to my comments on his posts, sometimes even deleted them to keep his comments clear, and he doesn't like my posts most of the time, although I like all of his new ones, went through and liked many of his older ones. However, in real life he's affectionate and passionate with me.
However, is your "crush" equivalent to "partner/boyfriend"? If not, then maybe the crush isn't mutual.
No maybe he doesn’t go on often or he doesn’t have notifications on. Wait a couple weeks and then maybe shoot him a text. Don’t bring up the following just talk to him more it will get hkm to realize your presence more in his life
It probably means he doesn't think of you like someone as important as his friends, but I wouldn't overthink this since you're not even in a relationship.

Proof is that I don't have social media or cell, and my social circle of friends in real life is huge.
It's a terrible practice to date through a phone. Be intuitive, create situations, meet up, enjoy life without having the need screen safety
