What does it mean if your crush's friend looks at you only when your crush is around?

-My crush is a girl, and so is her friend I'm talking about.

-For example, I've already been in the same bus as her friend. I was not sitting very far from her, so I could see what she was doing and where she was looking. I don't remember seeing her look at me at all (she was on her phone the entire time... except maybe when I got into the bus... but I'm not sure).

Later, during the same day, her, my crush and I had a class together. That same friend looked at me a few times (it seemed like she did).

So is she looking at me to see if I like my crush?

I've also already had that same feeling, but with some other friends of hers (and sometimes, I feel like they look at me even when she's not around. But they do it mostly when she is). Also, those cases took place at the cafeteria (I don't have any class with her other friends).
