What does it mean when your crushes friend says “when’s the wedding?”?

I have a major crush. I have been getting a lot of signs that he may like me but also mixed signals. I told him how I felt & he said he is not ready to have a girlfriend but we can be good friends. I wasn’t even asking him to be my boyfriend. I told him to tell me the honest truth. I honestly don’t think I’m ready for relationship right now anyways. But today when I saw him and his two friends, one of his friends asked “when’s the wedding?” In a teasing way. My crush and I both looked at each other and was like “what wedding?” We acted like we had no clue what he was talking about. His friend was like “ you both know what I’m talking about.” So that must have meant that my Crush mentioned that I liked him to his friends. Could he possibly like me but just be scared to tell me? I know he’s not ready but I still feel like he could secretly like me. I don’t know why he won’t just tell me. I need help.

"When's the wedding?" generally means you're ACTING like a married, or deeply infatuated, couple. Your crush may like you and simply not REALIZE it, or be afraid of what those feelings might mean, or just act that way.

Well I literally just walked in the room. We weren’t even hanging out or anything. We don’t talk much but we do some. I feel like we may both get nervous around each other WELL AT LEAST I DO! It was just out of nowhere

Yes I believe so. Cause it was just him and his friends in the room and I came in. His friend looked right at me and said “when’s the wedding?” The day before this I told my crush how I felt. When he asked this my crush and I both looked at each other for a bit and we just acted like we didn’t have a clue about what he was talking about. 😂

So like let me explain it better 😂 so I told my crush I like him on snap and he said he wasn’t ready for a girlfriend. I still feel like he could secretly like me but not sure. We are friends but we don’t hangout or talk a lot. The next day I went in the room with my crush and his 2 friends. When I came in his friend was being weird saying “look away.. look away.” (But he also did that later to another person who came in) anyways it was just me, my crush & his 2 friends. I asked where the teacher was and his friend replied to me being all silly. Then the same friend looked at me and asked “when’s the wedding?” He said it a few times and I just stood there looking awkward saying “what wedding?” I looked over at my crush which may have already been looking at me and we stare at each other for like a few seconds than he turns his head to his friend and asks “what wedding?” Repeating what I said. It was awkward😂

Really? I mean he looked at me the cutest way. Plus the signs I have seen don’t seem like I would see that with someone who doesn’t like me. I feel like he could be playing hard to get, scared to tell me the truth or has been hurt in the past. Maybe he’s not ready but does like me? I mean I’m not sure I’m even ready. Also my friend things he likes me 🤷‍♀️
