We have been following each other on IG months ago, we liked each other posts. Then he slipped into my DM’s and we stared DMing for about a week, great intellectual conversations, long paragraphs, it’s obvious we are both compatible and we like each other. He’s 36, NYPD detective and I’m 28 medical student in Hawaii, so there’s a distance issue. We touched base on that and other things, he’s beyond mature and very respectful, nothing was ever awkward because we’ve both been very open and blunt about our expectations etc. Yesterday we hit the topic of religion, we’re both spiritual and was slightly on the same page about things but then the conversation kind of died out. I couldn’t really expand much on the religion topic and it seemed like he couldn’t either. I’m not sure if that’s because we’ve literally been writing novels for the past six days or if he got bored? Lol maybe I got bored? Just felt kinda dead and not much else to say. So he asked me about my weekend plans, I reciprocated, and then he said ‘well gorgeous I’ll let you enjoy your Saturday. We’ll chat soon’ so my question is does he really mean ‘we’ll chat soon’ or was this a polite way of saying I’m over this right now. I think we all know how much you can overthink something so simple and look for hidden meanings when there really isn’t any but I really like this guy and well.. I’m overthinking! So help a girl out? What does this guy mean? Talk soon or this fizzed out?

Ok you should never ever write that long paragraphs, expend it over time because the stuff you can talk about online is limited. Let him think about you for a long time, as a Guy i know his interest level is very high. He probally also don't want the conversations to die out. He wants to see you in person Saturday and well chat soon is to discuss where and How. This compatibility is very high and best is to wait for his chat to plan the wknd. Don't overkill your texting

Whenever these things happens to me, when Im chatting with a cute girl i find interesting, i wouldn't lie.

From my perspective he means that 'soon'. However 'soon' has a different meaning for different people. It might be a day or two or maybe almost a week.
