Why is my ex so curious?

My first ex and I had quite an ending. Everything was great during the relationship but after we broke up, things kind of got rocky. Sometimes we’d talk like we never broke up (not really flirting but like really close friends) despite the fact that he wanted to have casual sex with me
that whole thing took its course and I etoooed talking to him in January after New Years. Once I stopped texting him, he viewed a few more of my Snapchat’s and then stoooed viewing them. In March I came home for quarantine and posted some text messages on Snapchat between me and my cousin saying “I love you” and I guess he must’ve saw that through the thumbnail cause he randomly viewed it. That was the first thing he’s viewed in months and plus I posted a random pic of something right after and he didn’t see that
so what was the purpose of him looking at the text convo? Was he trying to get my attention or was he curious to who I was seeing or talking to?
