Friedship or "friendship" with married man?

First of all I don't need a lecture, just insight of what different people think of the subject. I'm married too.
I'm friend with this guy for several years now. I try to be friend with his wife too. I have mutual interest with him that we met through and became friends.
He always emphasize our friendship, but constantly try to flirt.
Yesterday I was the one send him a teasing/flirty text: "Have a break if you're working and I'll treat you with what you're not allowed to have at home..."
"... mmmmm ice cold Coke πŸ˜‹πŸ₯‚πŸ§ŠπŸ§ŠπŸ§Š"
HE: I can have Coke at home but it's not fun to drink it at home
ME: That is why I offered... but you don't want to
HE: It would be suspicious to have a Coke in the middle of the week with a friend... because if the Coke is cold...πŸ‘ is hot.
ME: That is why you are here... Mr. Unpredictable... to work on techicalities
But I can tell you're not very brave... if you're afraid of me.

Why he thinks it's not ok for friends to have a drink? But at the same time we slept in the same room while on the road trip with a group of friends (our kids were with us). He provokes me all the time, I just wanted to get even this time
