Guys, body language: When you lean forward across the table looking at a girl, does that mean you like her?

So this is already the second time I have noticed of a guy leaning towards me to talk to me. During a public outing.

The first time was years ago when I was 27 years old at T-Mobile picking out a new phone 📱. A male employee was helping me out and showing me the features on the phone. Of course he was leaning across the table and conversing with me. That once I left, my mom pointed out that he was flirting with me and I did not noticed.

Now 2 nights ago, as all the restaurants and stores were closing. I stopped at a gas station for food and drinks. As I was paying in the front desk, I noticed a basket with a sign that said “expired candy 2 for $1”. I asked the male cashier “why do you guys sell expired candy? Haha 😅” and he responded with “well, it’s not actually expired. It’s out of season. Here let me look it up.” As he grabs one and I’m slowly walking away telling him “alright, thank you.” “Wait, look...” and he leans across the table to show me. Then reads the expiration date to me. I was losing interest on the topic 😅 and wanted to leave. So I told him “alright, thanks. Have a good night 😄👋🏻“.

Hmm I mean it could mean they’re passing gas. With guys you never know. A lot of guys generally don’t hate having more than one oar in the water. Anyway the short answer is that is not like a known “guy technique” we are all taught at male body language school. It could mean nothing… it could mean something. Think of it this way - you said it’s happened before - did you end up marrying that person? That’s about how much it probably means.

It could mean he likes you. If you like him lean in too, look him in the eyes, and don't look away until after he does.

The first one might mean that the guy was into you.

However the recent event doesn't sound like one. Looked like he was more into trying to sell you stuff. Unless there are some other signs

Maybe he wanted you to stay a little longer and was trying to engage you in conversation.

It's not flirting. I also do it when I'm in shop or place like that, and it's because that person doesn't want 2 shout, but just want 2 be closer 2 u so u could hear that person speak.
