For context, I'm a south east Asian girl that lives in Asian pacific. I'm not always a fan of my look. I was born and grew up in maritime southeast asia, where Asian people are shorter, tanner skin, wider and flatter nose; than the Japanese or Koreans or alike.
Here the beauty standards are to look either caucasian / european, or middle eastern or korean/japanese type. Here, southeast Asian look isn't celebrated. I'm 18 years old and many times I want to look either european or Japanese. But i am an Asian pacific girl which don't look like that :/ and also I'm sad because Asian pacific girls aren't really popular and celebrated worldwide too, when people say asia, they only focus on japanese/korean beauty. Then middle east, bollywood, etc.. They sideline Asian pacific. Like we're nothing.
