Why is she acting hot and cold (text)?

Sometimes she acts like she really cares about me and my well-being (and she even asks to spend time with me sometimes) then the next day she goes online but doesn't even check my messages (and waits like 2 days to respond). And when I don't text first or don't text as much as usual for a few days, she asks me what's up.

Could she be playing hard to get?
