Or does it depend on who invited who?
And how long should that person wait before texting first? A day? 2 days?
I’d personally like the other person to send the text and ideally send it an hour after we both got home so 2 hours after the date maybe or evening later on.
Nothing to do with gender just if I’m going out with a guy (could be girl too) I think it’s polite and shows enthusiasm. 1 day later is fine too.. 2 days a little too long I think most would move on to someone else by then if it’s a dating app (assuming it is)
I personally send the message first and about an hour after the date or 2-3 hours if they haven’t already but don’t really care who
I honestly don’t think it matters…. I could be wrong but I don’t think it would matter because if the guy asked you on a date then he really really likes you so I would think he’d be a man and text literally right after about how the date went with you. This is just what I think.
I think sincerely it depends on the person you have dated with. If she seeks for attention (in a good way) you have to write first and don’t let her wait too long, some girls like if you write them immediately after the date, for example by asking if she’s home safe.
If she’s a strong independent girl, maybe let’s wait 1-2 days so you can write. Or maybe she does.
I once waited 2 days and in the evening (of that 2nd day), she sent me a message to ask me if I was okay.
So I guess she's expecting me to text her first?
I think you should probably text immediately after the date. Telling them how fun it was and that you would love to go on a second one. If they respond well to that and agree, maybe follow it up a couple days later with a date plan or asking them out. If they dont, then move on

Whoever thinks of it first, whenever they think of it.
I've texted plenty of times
Guys should.
And how long after the date? A day or 2 (to not seem too clingy)?
