Does this seem like a cashier who's trying to get my attention/flirt... or is it just usual friendliness?

This guy works at a store I frequent. I first seen him in there back in like May. I kind of get the feeling he may be at least somewhat into me. I wanted some opinions on whether he is and what to do.

First encounter - I went through his line. He was friendly and very chatty. He said some random stuff that didn't really have anything to do with a usual interaction with a cashier. He was going more towards the small talk zone without getting too forward.

After that, I seen him a handful of times, but he was never on register, so I didn't have much of a chance to go through his line again to see what would happen. One occasion in June, he was by the self checkout area where I was and he made it a point to come over by the one I was checking out at to "fix" the bags. The person with me told me on the way out that they had seen him checking me out while I was checking out. I wasn't paying much attention since I was making sure everything was scanning right but they were since they were just standing waiting for me.

Tonight, I seen him after not seeing him for a bit. He seemed rather eager to see me. I went through self checkout and he was over a little bit away talking to another co-worker. As soon as I walked over to start scanning, he looked and noticed me. Next thing I know he was right by where I was. He stood behind me the entire time I scanned and bagged my stuff. As I was getting ready to leave, he came over to me and waved. He then told me to have a good holiday. I was polite and said "thanks, you too".

Would you say this was going beyond just typical/friendly cashier/store employee behavior?

I'm on the fence about it. I'm indeed single, but I'm iffy on him in particular. He might be a good friend or we may go well together in other aspects. I'd have to feel it out a bit more to decide. I just wanted some opinions regarding his behavior first and foremost.

Thanks to anyone who reads this/responds!
