My mother has always said I always made friend easily because I am just friendly and nice to everyone, as you should be. But sometimes I'm just being nice to someone or not blatantly rude , but some people might get the wrong impression. So my question is if I have to interact with someone, aka a guy or girl I don't know, and I am just friendly what red flags should I avoid or how do I make it clear it is just being nice and not flirting. I know it's sounds like a dumb question but I'm really just interested if there is something I might be doing.
by the way I have a partner and I don't hide that fact and even if they know they still might get the wrong idea.
