We haven't even been texting for a week yet and he is like going crazy. He is overloading me with compliments. I've been called beautiful over a dozen times. He has commented on my body. And the weirdest part is he keeps saying things about my eyes.
He keeps telling me he could get lost in my eyes. He has said that SO much. I've hung out with him one time (we were with other friends so it wasn't a lone thing with just us) and he right away texted me when we parted ways to tell me he felt himself getting completely lost in my eyes while we talked and said looking in my eyes made him feel like he was in heaven.
It's just super awkward he keeps saying that about how my eyes are the most beautiful eyes he's ever seen and how he gets lost in them. That seems more like a compliment you save for the girl you LOVE, like you're girlfriend or wife. We AREN'T dating and he knows that.
It feels like he is trying way too hard. He has also asked me on an actual date like 4 times already even though I said right now, I don't want to do anything official and just want to start off as friends since we don't know each other well.
How should I handle this? Am I being too judgmental, or is this truly weird that he keeps saying all this about getting lost in my eyes?

he is obviously attracted to you and maybe more romantic than you, i dont find his behavior that weird, but as im not romantic myself that w eyes would make me cringe... anyways, if you dont like him than dont give him any false hope, tell him you are not interested. If you are interested than get to know him, simple as that
Yeah I'm not into the mushy crap either. So hearing the eye thing... especially so freaking much is major cringe-status. Asking me out 4 times is cringe too when I clearly said N-O to any date stuff. I told him I wanted to be friends and see what happened since we don't know each other. Bro is NOT taking any hints.
I dont think you clearly rejected him, you said "see what happens", I think you should reject him more clearly and say "Sorry Im not interested in you"
