Ok this is from a guys pov, would u say its different with a woman whos clearly vulnerable? Ok so the guy atm started flirting with me out of nowhere, and due to my lack of experience /didn't think hed ever be interested in me i was left in shock.. he's not my usual type and with ttust issues with guys in general i didn't respond.. Now i know i like him would i need to show him something to say im interested or wait for him to continue (considering i didn't respond he might have your idea in his head) but im also concerned i read too much into it (the unlikelinest that happened, im positive he was flirting to some extent)

I’d say the ball is in your court now. You have to do something to reciprocate that interest. Assuming he really is interested. Especially nowadays men aren’t like they used to be, we’re very cautious about sexual harassment, be called misogynistic, etc, etc. If I had flirted w you but you didn’t reciprocate it physically or verbally I’d take it as you weren’t interested.

I’m assuming you mean try again? My concern would be not respecting another person’s wishes. It would be on her to give me an obvious signal at some point in time to flirt back. There’s a lot that can happen in between that might prompt another try, but generally is a back and forth thing.

There’s also the problem of being…dense. I try to focus on tasks at hand as a good way of being around attractive and unattractive women to treat them both fairly and think with my correct brain. I also tend to socialize with both because they both have personalities and stories to tell. So, depending on the dude, it can be a tool he uses to respond to the flirting he wishes while softly rejecting advances he doesn’t desire.

It changes day to day for myself, as well. Like women who are busy when they’re out and about, I too am not always on the prowl.

The hardest part is figuring out who’s single and looking.

I was referring to treating both of them platonically, not the flirting in response to attention I’d want. I probably shouldn’t have gone back and forth between “he” and “I”. Flirting with someone I wouldn’t find attractive would be lying to myself; that tends to make me depressed or angry if I’m not honest with myself.
