If a waitress asks if you’re single/what’s your type is that actual flirting or just giving good service and all?

Let me start off flirting is a case by case basis if you like someone just be direct and ask better to make a move and get rejected then loose a opportunity.

For the MOST part someone’s not going to ask if someone’s single if there isn’t sone level of interest maybe there is some people that do but even when fake flirting to get tips most women know that you can’t cross certain lines because someone will take it too far.

How can you tell if a waitress or other service staff is being fake flirty to get tips or genuinely flirty verses just being professionally friendly. Well if she’s fake flirty you’ll notice if she touches you and it’s brief it’s a light slap it doesn’t feel genuine it’s probably just being fake for tips. If it’s longer touches or deep pressure even then there’s usually something more going on many people feel uncomfortable touching someone they’re not attracted to for long periods of time.

If someones genuinely talking to you. The conversations don’t seem forced and she’s not acting over the top. If it’s not super busy some people talk for the sake of passing the time. But if someone is making eye contact seems more attentive to you then others even if you’re not a super high tipper. That’s a sign of genuine interest as well.

If the waitress only asks you that then it is not flirting. That is a question based on genuine curiosity.

I don’t know. I never been a waitress. And if a waiter asks my number, I will never give it lol.
But maybe she flirts.
