I don't like my brother-in-law's girlfriend.

She has been around for a little bit more than 1 year now and her attitude has changed. She has become more sarcastic and has an attitude. My husband has noticed it also..So I'm not nuts! I never really liked her, now I can't barely stand her. Seems to me she wants to be number 1. Thank God I got here first. For respect to my in-laws and consideration to my husband, I have been trying to ignore her...but it's just too difficult. It's like she is in a competition with me...and nobody notified me. I don't think she is going anywhere, I can see she wants to get married so bad...

I'm not sure what will happen...but what should I do? I really control myself when she is her annoying self... should I do something different? I do not want to give her the option to become the victim. What do you guys think?

I don't know how much contact you have with her, but keep doing what you're doing and ignore her behaviour. I think you may find that everyone else will notice it too and so she loses the competition that you weren't even aware of.

A confrontation will get you nowhere so I suggest the high road and not saying anything. Tolerate her like you would a two year old having a tantrum.

She'll only get worse if she gets married to your brother, so why not tell him how you feel straight out. Maybe he agrees but is afraid to confront her, or wants your back up on his negative feelings about her.

IN any case, NOW is the time to go public with how you are feeling!
