I know the literal meaning of what SHE said, but how should I take it? She could have just left it at "Im kinda seeing someone." But why informing me that she is "single" after I asked, "Hey are you single?" Why the emphasis? :/
She was being honest. I would say the same thing. She's single but seeing someone. It could mean that she's interested and it could mean she's not. That phrase alone isn't enough to tell. She was answering a question honestly.
I asked her, "are you single?"She says "im single, but I'm kinda seeing someone."Why would she let me know that she's single if she wasn't interested? Could have just left it at "Im kinda seeing someone." That's what I'm confused about! To make matters worse, she smiles a lot when she's with me.
He's not her boyfriend. She just acts like he is.
Simple linguistic observation: she used the word "but" in there. It pretty much cancels whatever was said before it occured. Like "You're great, handsome, smart etc, BUT I only like you as a friend."
