What does it mean when a guy says you are perfect?

i happen to be close friends with someone I really like. I know he likes me too, but he has a girlfriend. I won't do anything with him because I know I deserve better.. but the other day he told me I was perfect. he didn't sound like he was placating me either. it was very genuine. what did he mean by that? because I am very confused. how can I be the perfect one when he has a girlfriend?

When I hang out with this one guy:

(1) He'll say "YOU are BEYOND beautiful" or tell me that I'm absolutely perfect and know it. (Of course, I know no such thing at all. It's impossible for anyone to be perfect.

(2) I'll purposely ask him what he thinks about a certain girl. He'll just look straight into my eyes and says "I didn't notice" and whisk me off to the dance floor.

If you're familiar with the Old Testament, read "Song of Songs" 1:5-6 and 4:1-15. See how the girl describes herself compared to the way the guy describes her. Beauty -- and the vision of perfection -- is in the eye of the beholder. We are all perfect in the eyes of our Maker, who doesn't make mistakes.

Unfortunately, in your particular case, you've been saddled with a player. He has a GF, just walk away. He's not the first or last guy to be thinking this about you; he might just be the first one to say it in those words, which is why it drew your attention...

Your perfect guy is out there, waiting for you to shake this guy off.
