How can I attract a metal head guy?

I've always gotten along with metalheads better, but since, aside from wearing a band top now and again, they never seem interested in me. I thought it could be that I'm a quiet person, but if I try to start a conversation with one of the guys I've seen at my school they just look at me like I've grown another head. Is dressing too girlie not right? Am I meant to wear lots of black and band tops only or something? Help me out here, please!

Here's a few pointers:

-If you see a guy wearing a band shirt you like, say "I love ________! Their latest album was awesome!" or something like that. That will get any metalhead's attention. If a girl saw me wearing a Devin Townsend shirt and started a conversation with me about his discography, I would probably ask her out on the spot.

-This probably goes without saying, but go to places where metalheads frequently go. Hell, start a metalhead club if it feels right.

-And lastly, just keep listening to good music. The true metalheads don't give a damn about what a fellow metalhead wears, as long as they have the music.
