Do shy girls check guys out and why do they do so?

Uh I just wanna know. I had this strange but regretful experience. I noticed a shy girl checking me out, and it was pretty obvious...what does it mean by that?

I was goign on a college tour dorm thing I noticed this girl, ( welli thought she was cute lol) and we were in line and she was up ahead like 6 spots. She was looking at me but I thought she was jsut examining the dorm behind me so I ignored her stares. Turns out we got put into the same tour group. We got into the dorms and it was pretty tight, I was looking around but every time I look up front I could see her scanning at the back and then stopping when she saees me. Again, I thought she was just chekcking out the dorms. BUT FINALLY we reached to a lounge room and it was crowded so we all started to exit. I saw her right by the door with her father. We made eye contact for JUST a sec( I kinda caught her looking at me) and then she let her father go and waited at the door for people to leave and right when I got to the door she went in front of me slowly, Because the line of people were moving pretty slow and kinda stopped in front of me and I don't know blushing real hard but also looking at me? And I know, I'm an idiot, I didn't start a convo with her or ask her name. I was pretty lost Because I don't know I was n't thining straight. It got to the point where we were blocking the line so we had to move. Later my friend and I moved up ahead of the group to check out the showers and she followed and I still noticed her looking over and over. So ig uess my question is, what should I Have done in these type of situations and what does it mean when a shy girl checks you out?

Honestly, what I would have done was show some balls, and if she was looking at me so damned much I would have went over and talked to her. I would have found something to talk about, and tried my best see what's up. I would also like to point out that yes, shy girls do check guys out. Shy guys check girls out too. Shy people are still human. They still get attracted to people, even if they don't act on it.

I also don't know what you thought was so dumb (in the title); the shy girls checking guys out, or the question itself. If you meant the latter, then you're correct, and probably could have saved us time. If you meant the former, then you're not the smartest out there. Why? Because it's not entirely conscious all the time, it's usually an instinct thing, and even when it's not, who's to say there's anything wrong with it. Who knows. Sometimes a shy person can come out of their shell and muster up the courage, that you clearly didn't have back there.

Which brings me back on point. It sounds like she was interested, and if so, you had a perfect opportunity to go up and do something about it. You could have talked to her and made something of it. You sure you're not shy yourself? Whatever. Look, next time this happens, just make a move, if it doesn't work out, forget about it. Any embarrassment begot from it will be, at the most, just temporary, and you sir... will live.

So in short.

Answer: Yes, they do.

Question: Why do they do so?

Answer: The same reason anyone does.

Question: What should I have done?

Answer: Talked to her. Maybe even made a move

You could've said hi (so could she but if she was shy she was probably looking at you so you'd get the hint :p).

Do you live at the same dorm? Or just if you see her again, say hi, and something like: aren't you that girl I noticed at the dorm tour? How are you? What have you been up to? ... just casual stuff like that :)

Maybe she wanted to give you a hint for contact but she didn't dare to say hi herself?

A shy girl is still a girl. She still finds guys attractive, but more likely than not, she won't act on it. She was waiting for you to make the move. Don't stress yourself out too much about it though. I mean, who's to say you would both end up at the same college anyway? Just take this as a learning experience, and just go for it next time.

Yes clearly they do dipsh*t and its because their girls! You may not know this but girls are constantly checking out guys just wer more descreet than guys who gawp O.O
