Should I send my crush the song I wrote for her?

We have known each other about a year, and a month ago we got together and ended up sleeping together. It happened at a pretty bad time because she was in the middle of moving, trying to find a job, and saving up to buy a car. She had a lot going on, and I didn't really recognize that. I asked her a lot if she wanted to hang out or if I could take her out but she wasn't in a place where she could give me the same amount of attention, plus I think she was kinda down about not having anything to her name (she got screwed over by a friend and lost it all).

So about two weeks ago she basically said that we need to cool things down while she gets her life together. I was upset, but I came to realize that it's for the best right now, until she is on more solid ground. And I haven't talked to her since she told me this.

So I wrote a song for her. It's about a special moment between the two of us and basically says how much I like her and that I wish she was my girlfriend. I wrote the guitar part for it and everything. I was going to make a YouTube video and send it to her. Do you think I should? Would that be a nice surprise to her after not hearing from me for a few weeks? Any thoughts are welcome. Thanks!

I don't think you should absolutely not contact her at all. It would probably be best to at first wait a week or two (three, .. you`ll just have to go with your intuition) and them let her know you're still there. If you text, you can maybe send her a short one aka 'Hi there, I was just wondering how everything's working out with you'-like, nothing too big and not asking her about you two.
I think a around 2 weeks is a good time for a cool off since you weren't actually in a relationshio from what I gathered. I wouldn't wait much longer since then she might have "forgotten" you - or forced herself to give you up, cause that's what girls are good at, trust me!
I mean, I obviously don't know her but I think any decent guy can get away with getting in touch after that time without seeming to needy and she's obviously a lot to sort out.
Waiting longer would - at least for me, when I imagine myself in her situation - lead to things cooling down completely and pretty much forever.
Whatever you do, I wish you all the best and good luck and maybe you can find a friend who knows the two of you personally to give you some advice, I always feel like that helps the most. :)

Actually, I do know a girl, a coworker in fact, who is friends with her. I've been reluctant to talk to her about it though...

Id not wait too long I mean how long is she planning to spend doing things? it can take a long time to get things together, I'm 22 been trying to figure what I want since I was 18, still haven't got a clue but I'm trying things anyway, see how it goes but I feel like she is not ready and available for a relationship right now and there is no telling when she would be, she could just be letting you off easily, generally though it's not a very real situation for you to wait on.

Normally that would be super sweet but I think you should wait til she gets her life figured out before you record it and send it to her.

I think it's a nice idea but I would advice you wait a little while to send it.

Since she said you "need to cool things down" sending this might get her thinking that you are trying to amp things up and make her feel pressured even if this isn't your intention.

I'd wait until things have cooled down for her, honestly. If you don't, it might backfire. That's just my $0.02.
