How do you approach a girl that is a loner?

I've talked with her twice, once recently if brief. But she is always by herself. Never sits in the college Cafeteria to eat, always take out. Always sits by herself at functions I have to this date never seen her walking with anyone girls or guys between classes. In fact other then once with her roommate I've never really seen her talk with anyone.

On her online profile one of her pet peeves listed is "Normal People". That peaked my interest in her greatly. Unfortunately we are not the same year and don't share any classes so I don't see her that often, and opportunities to talk are few. What would be the best way to go about getting to know her a little?

The brief time I did talk to her I mostly asked how her last quarter went and how the current one went. At least while she was talking about herself she was smiling so I don't think she "dislikes" me per say. At least no more then anyone else. Oh and till college she was home schooled her whole life.

if you see her in the cafeteria and brings take out, maybe come up to her and say hi and tell her that you're hungry and hate to eat alone so maybe if she has time she would sit and eat with you?

Maybe, trouble is that the girl's dorm is right next to the cafeteria so that is a very small window to work with and she always get's salad from the salad bar making her wait time near zero in the cafeteria. I suppose I could strike up a conversation sometime when she's walking back after a community function which happens weekly. Still finding a balance between friendly and stalker will be difficult. Everyone needs some socialization so I do have that in my favor at least.

well in that case, the next time you see her, just come up and talk to her. but don't stalk or anything. maybe you could pretend to give back a pen that she "might have" dropped =) Idk, I'm that kind of girl myself lol
