How to ask ex to hang out?

So Me and my ex broke up early March. It was mutual and we said we would like to still be friends and hang out. I kinda freaked out a little and made her hate me for a while. We did a month of NC. She hit me up. Two weeks later we talked again and she asked for a ticket I had of her's back. Asked her if she wanted to grab some lunch or she could just come pick it up.

She opted to come pick it up. Came over we got to talking laughed a bit then she asked If I wanted to go get lunch... We went to a place we always went too had a great time as if nothing had happened. She left said it was fun hanging out.

Now my question is I miss her in terms of a friend because we always had a killer time and I miss hanging out with her and her friends. Would it be appropriate to just ask her what she's up to or if she wants to go catch a movie or what ever? If I do should I mention "just as friends" or something? Or should I just wait for her to hit me up?

So I hit her up. Just some small talk about something we brought up when we had lunch last week. No response yet though :(. Been 6 hours and nothin. Should I just keep waiting or hit her back and just ask her to hang out as friends? She might be taking it the wrong way which is why she's ignoring.

If you want to meet up with her again, then you should just ask instead of waiting around for things to just fall into your lap! You should tell her that it's 'just as friends' because she could easily take it as you're hoping to get back with her again.

You should've just straight out said, "Hey, I enjoyed hanging out the other day so I was wondering if you wanted to meet up again, just as friends?"

It's only been 6 hours, people can be in work for more than 6 hours. She's probably busy and hasn't had time to respond so don't over think it.

So I sent her another text pretty much saying exactly that. No response. I figured she just used me to get the ticket back. But then 4 days later she texts me happy birthday. So confused, and thinking maybe she didn't get my texts? Or she's just messing with me I can't tell.

I think she feels that you want to hang out because you have feelings for her again. She said happy birthday as a friend but ignored your other messages because she didn't know how to respond without somehow leading you on. You should clarify to her that you only want to be friends.

I made it pretty clear. I feel like if I put too much effort into trying to get her to realize that I only want to be friends she'll just think the opposite. I just said "thanks" to the happybirthday and left it at that.

Well if she's ignoring you, then you'll just have to move on and find friends that aren't ex's!

I don't believe she's playing you, she's just being friendly. Maybe she doesn't want to hang out but just wasn't honest. Or she could've not got the messages. It's a shame some girls aren't open about their feelings, they just leave guys guessing all the time. :|

That's pretty much how I feel. I just feel like the only reason she came back was for the ticket. Then asks me out to lunch then ignores me, then texts me again. It's like just be real so I can stay or go.

Well it's going to take time to get over that hurt any way, but if you want back what you had, then act the way you did back then. Do what you always used to. But it won't be easy, and she might come to realize that she just can't do it.

I would wait a few days,since you had so much fun she would be expecting you to ask her to get together again,but instead you should be unpredictable,it will drive her nuts and make her contact u.

We met last wednsday. I didn't want to freak her out or anything by hitting her up right away. In the initial break up when I made her hate me she realllllllly hated me for a while. But it was really surprising that there was no difference in how we were when we hung out last week.
