Why do bartenders give certain people free shots and drinks?

I've been quit lucky when i comes to getting free shots and cocktails when out.

I'll only take free cocktails if i know its a 100% safe and i know they haven't tried to put anything drugs init.

Put it happens a lot i dont know if its because they want to us up shock but then and again they hardly offer it to anyone else, they want me to spend more money? I don't know.

But usually thd bar tender will just say "i like you, do wanna have shots with me?" i just thinking are you really allowed to do that whilst working. I had one bartender ask if he could try out some of his new cocktails on me and see what i think, now everytime i go in there its most popular on the menu and he sometimes lets me have a free drink on him.

Most the time I've not even spoken to the bar tender and they'll just give me and my sisters free shots out of no were.

If the bartender is a guy, and thinks a woman is cute, then he is going to give her 'free doubles' at least, to get her a little drunk, faster, so he gets bigger tips, and maybe gets to take her home and fck her!
Most 'real bars' don't allow the staff to drink on the job, so offering to do shots, together, he might be giving you the real alcohol, but just shooting water, himself, so he doesn't get in trouble, but also, so you give bigger tips, and he can maybe fck you, and 'get you home safe,' when he gets you too drunk!

Pretty women have always got to be on their guard, or have someone, like a big guy friend, watching over them, because they get taken advantage of, so easily, with compliments, and free drinks.

I’m not a bar tender so I really can’t give a fully knowledgeable answer. I do know some people that own bars. I was considering opening one myself a while back.

One of the biggest rules I was told was not to allow the staff to drink while working. Also, don’t allow the staff to hand out free drinks or shots. With that said, they did encourage the tenders to mix new drinks. But, they were tested with other staff, then added to the menu on a trial basis, not given away.

The actual reason could be as diverse as there are people. Could be they like you to it’s a way of getting more customers.

It's for fun, and to increase the morale of the bar. Sometimes it's flirting - mild or serious.

They'll give you free drinks for one of four reasons:
1. They want to bang you
2. They want you to become a regular
3. They want other patrons to think this bar is where the hot girls go to party
4. A distributor is paying them (or giving them discounts) to get people to drink their booze

It's usually reason #2.

Simply because they know that having pretty girls in their bar will attract guys, aka new customers. Marketing.
