The fixings obviously depend on the type of sandwich.
When it comes to sandwiches, I'm kind of basic. I'm not big on raw tomatoes, so my typical deli sandwich would be turkey with Provolone, mayo and lettuce.
If we have roasted chicken at home, I'll make a sandwich on toast with mayo and sometimes some Mae Ploy sauce.
Sometimes at home, I'll substitute mayo for Miracle Whip.
Another kind of fixing I love is BBQ. Beef or pulled pork with lots of sauce. I might even add sliced or grilled onions.
If I feel like something different at a deli, I might have a grilled sandwich with chopped chicken, chipotle sauce and grilled onions.
Honey mustard sauce can be fun, too.
I like ethnic foods. One of my favorite sandwiches in bahn mi. Pork tenderloin in a baguette with pickled carrots, daikon, chiles, cucumber slices, cilantro, and a wonderful sauce.
I make a mean pulled pork..
Yep🤤😋
Sandwiches are my FAVORITE.
Typically, for the bread I’ll use sourdough, pumpernickel, or rye bread.
As for the meats, I like switching it up, but it’s usually honey baked ham, oven roasted Turkey, or salami, or a combination of two of them.
For the cheeses, I love a great cheddar or provolone, as well as Colby jack, pepper jack, or Havarti.
For the spreads, I’ll either do mayo, Dijon mustard, or miracle whip if I’m in the mood for something sweeter.
Toppings that I always go back to are lettuce and tomato, but if I’m at a make your own sandwich restaurant, I’ll pretty much get everything offered. I’m not picky at all, so this includes spinach, lettuce, tomatoes, onion, peppers, olives, pickles, banana peppers, avocado, sundried tomatoes, etc.
My favorite sandwich would probably be ham and cheddar on sourdough with lettuce, tomatoes, and a bit of mayo.
"My favorite sandwich would probably be ham and cheddar on sourdough with lettuce, tomatoes, and a bit of mayo." Add turkey and that's the sandwich I made yesterday lol
Honestly, this could go WAY past 2000 characters. For me it depends on the sandwich, my first decision is what meat. Meats tike roast beef, pastrami, corned beef get mayo as a start, while meats like chicken, turkey and bacon (yes, I know I’m Jewish, and although I try to eat kosher, I don’t go to the trouble of keeping a kosher kitchen, AND I absolutely love Bacon! Blame my British relatives who when babysitting would say “oh, it was only bacon, not “proper pork” and it was only a little bit, she’ll be fine!”) but those start with butter. As for toppings, again I could go on and on, but I’ll stick to the mainstays of lettuce and tomatoes, and occasionally onions. (Depending on the sandwich) I mean technically a burger is a sandwich, and I always have onions on my burgers.
Depends on where I am
At home is beef and cheese or egg mayo with cress or ham and mustard
At Subway the go-to is a BMT (length is hunger based but hearty Italian, cheese toasted with onions, cucumber, lettace, gherkins and sweet onion sauce), I did try the mega meat but it's too much meat-bread ratio and will try the steak and cheese at some point
The best is of course from Tongue and Brisket in Leather Lane just over from Hatton Garden (the sandwich is almost worth the trip to London on it's own)
A Reuben made to order with an inch of sliced hot salt beef with gherkins and sauerkraut with the sauce on white rye bread not bad for a shade under £10 to be eaten on a bench with your best shirt opened to the undershirt because it's easier to cover up and clean later and well at worst it's far cheaper to replace
Sounds good, but messy lolol

I swear sometimes I feel like I'm Homer Simpson I could be on here for an hour to 2 and I will be so freaking horny I'm answering questions it all it takes is one sandwich post it changes me from learning to hungry in a heartbeat now I have to make something to eat lettuce tomatoes onions olives mayonnaise mustard lots of roast beef LOL lots of onions lots of mayonnaise and mustard okay I got to go thank you for the question LOL
Happy eating lolol and yeah made myself hungry lolol so had chicken drumsticks and garlic mashed potatoes
My "go to" involves whatever is in the fridge. As long as there's cheese, some crunchy greens, tomatoes or roasted red peppers, mayo and dijon, I'm good. My "fav" sandwich is real Italian prosciutto or crudo and brie or fresh asiago, roasted red peppers, arugula and olive oil, with fresh basil, on a toasted baguette.
You’re quite the foody ❤️
Ooohhh sounds good 😋
@On_cloud_wine I do love good food. Hey, I started out on bologna and cheese, just like everyone else! LOL
Hot dog = yellow mustard, chopped onions, relish (bonus points if it is Blue relish from Vienna), tomato slices, dill pickle strip, celery salt. Optional- two sport peppers.
Burger = dill pickle chips, onion (thin slab please, not just one or two rings), ketchup.
Italian sub or equivalent = O&V, S&P, spices & herbs.
Peanut butter and Jelly = Peanut butter and, um, jelly.
Ham and cheese, and most others = Mayo and mustard.
That sounds like me, I like ketchup but not on my hot dogs, mustard only lol
Every time my wife puts ketchup (only) on her hot dog, it just send chills down my spine - eeewww.
Lolol right!!!
Cheese and pickle, pulled pork and apple slaw, roast chicken, roast turkey, halloumi but I usually have wraps. For wraps I like all sorts but especially spicy bean with cream cheese, pulled pork with gochujang sauce & kimchi, I could go on forever
You're making me hungry lolol
And now, I good go for some good pulled pork lol
I like ham & sharp cheddar, turkey & provolone, pepperoni & sharp cheddar maybe some Swiss, then pickles sour or kosher dill, tomatoes, lettuce. Pretty good. Toast the bread. Yum yum
I also like dilly beans on the side so so good. Anything pickled is awesome
Never had those
The dilly beans I mean
OMG they are just pickled green beans so good

I'm factoring in the convenience of it but Philly cheesesteak, BLT, and tuna with mayo and mustard. My "gotos" are based on convenience. Those are all very easy to make.
If I have lots of time, then I'll slow-roast a chuck or brisket for 8+ hours, cut thick fork-tender slices, top with foie gras, salmon roe or caviar, compound butter, make my own brioche buns, with and my homemade creamy garlic sauce.
I need to plan so far in advance for that though so it is not a goto for me. My goto is like a tuna sandwich on toasted bread with mustard and mayo.
Toasted Frontega Chicken from Panera.

Chicken breast, turkey, steak strips. Crab paste. Something filling or unique.
Ooohhh sounds really good, been a minute since I've had steak
BLT. Turkey, tomato, and provolone on a 12 grain bread. Turkey Reuben.
Now I want a sandwich.
Lol sorry🤣
The bread can make or break the sandwich. Fresh Italian bread or a bulkie roll from a bakery. I like ham or roast beef and I like it sliced thin. Toast the bun and brown up the meat in a frying pan. Salt and pepper and a few slices of lettuce.
Baked Ham and swiss cheese, mayo, mustard on Rye Bread
Sounds good
I like pickles and the big chunky fries on the side with a big glass of unsweetened tea
👍👍 except for the unsweetened tea lolol
Yeah, I never had much of a sweet tooth, my drinks have to be sour, bitter or plain
Its very rare to catch me drinking a bottle of soda pop. Like mountain dew is so overly sweet for me. That One drink is enough for me. I can never finish a bottle
I don't really drink soda much either.. Mostly water, coffee, or alcohol lolol
Alcoholic drinks, sign my ass up
👍👍🥃
In a deli, Reuben.
In subway, meatball sub
Home, tuna or ham and turkey on pumpernickel or rye with spicy mustard and pickles.
All sound good, and yeah have black forest ham and oven roasted turkey here for sandwiches but making garlic parmesan breaded chicken instead
It’s definitely the cheese, when I’m at a vacation sandwich platter buffet, the one item I covet the most is the cheese, whether Swiss or crème cheese.
My "go to" sandwich is a couple slices of cold cuts (bologna or turkey) between two slices of multi-grain wheat bread, with mayonnaise slathered on one of the slices.
100% whole wheat bread
provolone cheese
low sodium turkey
honey mustard
Tomato
hummus
Yum sounds good
I'm pretty simple that way. Ham, cheese and tomato or a grilled ham and cheese.
👍👍
Ham or salami. And if I have the money, on hamubrger bread with seaseme seeds.
Steak, avocado, salad and some onion , some boiled egg, bacon, Mayo, mustard and some thousand island!!!
Yum sounds good
I love tuna sweetcorn (with mayo) in whole grain bread with plenty of butter spread!
Italian BMT from subway with monteray jack cheese, piccles, cucomber, tomato, salad, salt, fried onion, oregano, and as for the sauces, I will take honey mustard, sweet onion and southwest.

i stopped eating bread products, cause it's unhealthy.
Tomato slices mayo salt and pepper.. it's a southern thing I guess
All the veggies and yellow mustard.
👍👍
When I go to Subway, my favorite fixings off the rip is elettuce & tomatoes, oil & vinegar. The cheeses vary depending on what I'm getting. Swiss, Cheese or Mozzarella. Can't forget the mayo. And yes... I can tell 😉
Meats and Cheeses are primary ingredients every sandwich of mine should at least have.
Black Forest ham, provolone, lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise on pumpernickel bread
This is making me so fucking hungry and I’m fasting, but I love turkey and mayonnaise.

Chic-fillet, broiled chicken.

Ah okay
Roast beef. Yep that's it.
