Do you like mayo (and other creamy sauces)?

I do NOT and never have. I was labeled a picky eater as a child but I resent that. I enjoy octopus, jellyfish, escargot, artichokes, tomatoes, mushrooms, basically anything that is not white and creamy (and get your mind out of the gutter I have heard that too). Truly the only category of things I will not eat is mayo, cream cheese, sour cream and ranch.

You're weird. LOL just teasing. My sister's list of revolting foods is similar to yours. And my wife is disgusted by mashed potatoes. So go figure taste. LOL

Actually, I have no problem with condiments, cheeses or sauces that are white and creamy.

Tuna or egg salad sandwich, turkey sandwich with mayo. I sometimes use Miracle Whip.

When we make salmon or some other fish for dinner, I sometimes mix mayo, fresh lemon juice, garlic powder, salt and pepper to make a dipping sauce.

Cream cheese is okay, but I rarely have it. I find it tasteless. It's good on bagels. It can be good on some canapés.

I love sour cream. Sour cream and butter on a baked potato. Sour cream-onion dip.

Hollandaise sauce.

I don't really care much for the sour, buttermilk flavor of ranch dressing.

I'm with you 'loves', I, for the most part, have avoided and still avoid the mayo and 'mayo like stuff because of the obvious problems with it being loaded with cholesterol and and probably triglycerides. Only time I might get it is on the rare occasion that I eat in a restaurant (due to COVID) My refrig is not a haven for that kind of food and I usually stick to fish, chicken, veggies, and fruit, but I do use some salad dressings, and Olive oil.

The smell of those things? How could anyone put it in their mouth? To their nose even?

I do love mayonnaise and cream cheese though. It’s doable for me and I love any other dipping sauces for my meals if the meal allows for it.

Yes I do. Not miracle whip, I mean mayonnaise. If given the choice I would get mayonnaise instead of miracle whip. I like sauces like Alfredo, cheese sauces or whatever it is. I don’t like tomatoes, pickles or sea food except for fish I don’t mean sardines either. I don’t like mushrooms but there’s a Japanese steak house where their house soup is an exception otherwise I hate it.

I love mayo (Dukes in particular), use it to make scrambled eggs, and slab it on bread for a meat sandwich or chicken salad. Cream cheese is great on a bagel. Sour cream is part of all the trimmings on a baked potato. And ranch dressing on a salad is nice, though I prefer Thoussnd Island. Your loss us my gain.

i despise mayo. the thought alone that it is 60-70% oil is incredibly disgusting. it has no nutritional value, no real taste. it's just fat

Yes, we know about your irrational fear of white sauces. It's ok, and it's too bad. Mayo on the right food is a delight. It's lemon juice and egg yolks whisked with olive oil, or any oil of your preference. It's delicious on the right foods!

You and I are the opposite! I HATE octopus, jellyfish, escargot, artichokes and cottage cheese. And I LOVE anything that is white and creamy, like mayo, cream cheese, sour cream and ranch, but I can't digest anything that is super creamy or heavy in fat, like whipped cream. Ice cream is fine!

I don't like mayo but I do like chipotle mayo. I'm also not a fan of sour cream and cream cheese. I like ranch though. I guess it overall depends on the type of creamy sauce it is.
