If I drink Irn-Bru before a flight will it set off the airport metal detectors?

Irn-bru is a by-product of the Scottish steel industry. It's made by soaking iron girders in sugar water until it turns ginger before carbonation. Iron deficiency is a problem in Scotland because of cloud cover so the government gives everyone free Irn-Bru.

Donald Trump hates Irn-Bru and blames it for turning him orange.

But my question is if I drink too much before a flight will I set off the airport metal detectors?

It looks like they started adding aspartame in 2018 while reducing the sugar content. I wouldn't drink IrnBru now.

It is the Ferric Citrate that will set off the metal detectors/ At least there is quinine in it to ward off malaria. I heard it is making a comeback.

Iron Brew was my most FAVORITE drink when I lived in Europe, aside from Beer ofcourse. It WILL NOT set off metal detectors, or anything else for that matter. You can better get your "Scottish' iron needs met by eating Haggis!
