



French fries few days ago. French fries for backing oven or air fryer are already pre-fried and soaked with fat, otherwise those fries would taste like carton without fat. I doesn't really makes a huge difference. My BMI is barely over 17 so I can allow myself luxury of eating a little bit fat.
Saturday. Had friends in town and we grilled some burgers and I made some ultra crispy onion rings. But it had been a couple of years since I had made them. It's a pretty big production for a side dish and not worth it for just one or two people, but my buddy and the girls loved them. My girlfriend had only had onion rings once before, and says they weren't great, but she and my buddy's wife were putting them away faster than I could make them - I had to get a second pan going.
I don't fry at home like that more than once or twice a year, and it's always when I have guests. I usually deep fry when camping, though. Still waiting for campgrounds to reopen after the huge fires 3 years ago burned about 70% of the camping areas in the state and all the state parks and most of the national forests closed to camping. Maybe this next year.
Probably a year or so ago I made Nashville Hot Chicken sandwiches, so I had to fry boneless chicken thighs in the process.

Every work day I'm snacking on something from a deep fryer like clam strips, Grouper bites or Cheddar tots as my favorites. I manage a restaurant/bar and we have 12 deep fryers, 2 broasters all of which use 50 gallons of fresh oil every 3 days.

As for me I have an air fryer & I also have a oil deep fryer & the last time I used my oil deep fryer I made fried seafood lasagna.

it has been a few years. I used to cut whole potatoes into discs and fry them up. Set them on paper towels to drain and add salt.
