It's become a habit in my house and my family thinks turkey won't bake long if this is done - how do you prep your turkey?

You also will have terribly soggy skin that won't brown or get crispy. I cook our turkey in my turkey fryer, it takes about an hour to perfectly cook a 16 lb., turkey with moist meat and nice crispy skin
This is the first time I have ever heard of anyone boiling a turkey.

Never heard of it, brining might be something like boiling.
Anyways last Christmas we split our turkey and it came out amazinglol, god no. I'd throw you out of my house if you boiled a turkey. I roast a turkey in the oven. 500 degrees (F) for 30 minutes, then drop the heat to 350 until the internal temp is 155.
you mean brine it?
