It contains currants. Even if these biscuits aren't known in my country black currant is very popular as marmalade fruit.
I have never had them, but they remind me of the biscuits, or crackers, that a documentary showed to have spawned vermin while the package was still sealed. It was meant to teach us about the threat of whole foods in favor of the processed garbage we’re too frequently offered now. I honestly think i’d rather have to worry about the bugs now. 😂😂
Never tried one, but maybe it's a distant cousinn of a fig newton? I do enjoy those.
We call those fig rolls in the UK. Definitely one of the best biscuits ever.
I thought Garibaldi was one of the characters in Lord of the Rings or Game of Thrones or something.
In Babylon 5, actually. :-)
It's named after an Italian general
I do like Garibaldi biscuits, actually 😊
They remind me of old-fashioned railway snacks in Britain, simple but strangely comforting. The chewy currants with that slightly crisp, thin biscuit feel very nostalgic, almost like a minimalist fruit shortbread.
They’re perfect with coffee or strong tea, especially when you want something not too sweet. Underrated classic in the biscuit world.

If these biscuits are what I think, with a thin layer of jam between two thin layers of "biscuit", the I tasted them occasionnally. Not bad at all, but actually I never buy or even eat such treats anymore.
I don't think I've ever tried one of those...
but my guess is that I'd like them, yes...
I can't recall ever trying them.
What might be an American or Asian equivalent to them?
According to Google it was sunshine golden fruit. They look the same to me.
Are they like ANZAC biscuits, in that they eaten by Garibaldi soldiers soldiers?
They kind of look like they have a shelf life of 5 years.

Can you make those and put apple filling inside of them or raspberry or something they look good if it had some kind of filling on the inside
Garibaldis are actually delicious. I should buy some next week.
Eh Garfield crackers! I love em. No actually never knew they existed before viewing this question.
Haven't seen a Garibaldi biscuit in ages !!! They're OK but far from my favourite confection.
