Technically the flintlock musket and the rise of conscripted armies killed chivalry.
What modern people like to think of as chivalry is just fairy tale romance gleaned from old books.
Also, knights were only supposed to be chivalrous to noble women. Peasant women were fair game for mistreatment.
Rape rape rape rape rape rape rape rape...
:)
Yup. And "noble" women didn't act the way most girls do these days. Only a small handful of girls these days are even worthy of "noble treatment", if you based the decision off of the old standards of the code.
Well most girls would have been peasants during that time period since only a small portion of society had wealth (just like today).
One of the things about the modern implement of chivalry is that a Lady is also required.
You mean a slave.
Did you read the article at all...
I know a lot of women who would disagree with you. They actually want to be treated like princesses...
Thank you so much for bringing the actual history into this argument! I think common courtesy for everyone is what we need not chivalry.
This entire take is just one massive strawman, please try again
It really is lol
Finally, someone said it.
Great take, don't mind all the kneejerk vote brigading by women who don't want to lose their privilege.
I think women will never be happy until they submit to strong, chivalrous men.
I'm kind, generous, loving, respectful and appreciative of women (and men) because that's who I am. I don't expect anything in return.
The definition of "chivalry" has changed over the millenia.
Generalized, therefore faulty. Not every man treats their woman as real estate.
Let me guess you also want to be a knight with shiny armor? Lol back to the kitchen woman.
Captain America would never say something like that :P
No, but Captain "Murica" obviously would. Know your meme.
Chivalry became irrelevant when conscript armies became the norm.
This a response to whick MyTake?
I'm so glad this is coming from a female.
Humans continue to slaughter my existence.
-shakes head-
Great take
Cool take, I agree.
