Why do girls apologize when their foot brushes against your leg?

This girl I really like was sitting next to me at lunch on a park bench thing. Anyway I noticed her body was facing my direction and she had her legs crossed and foot pointing towards me. Her foot brushed my leg and she said sorry. She also was sitting opposite me a couple of days before hand and once again her legs were crossed with her foot in my leg space. She tapped the leg that time as well but that one may have been accidental.
In class she was sitting one seat away from me, anyway the other person walked out of the classroom and she immediately stretches her leg out on the chair with her leg in my direction and starting moving her foot side to side everytime I look at her leg.
She suddenly has gone around me and doing all this body language stuff. I've accidentally caught her looking at me a few times and when I notice she looks away quickly. We make eye contact every time we walk past each other. When I message her she is fine.

She touched my leg again today with her foot for the 2nd time and said sorry, it was at the same table and seating positions. It was weird the she did exactly the same thing. This time I waited 5 mins or so and then I let my leg touch her foot and I said sorry. She didn't say anything but she didn't move her foot away. Mind you I already said to her "that's alright" but in a really nice way.

It's a common social thing. If someone bumps into each other they say sorry, people have a bad habit of moving their legs and shit into other peoples spaces, guys do it to each other quite a bit, it's not 'hop into bed with me' it's sorry bro.

The foot in your direction or toes pointing at you is a possible indication, the only real one here I would go by is " I've accidentally caught her looking at me a few times and when I notice she looks away quickly. "

Now that you've established there's a decent chance she likes you, it's time to stop 'messaging' and just ask her to hangout sometime. Try to do it as "want to hangout, go to ______?" after talking to her for a bit. Then dont just pick a date, say "when are ya free this week?"

Don't listen to anyone else, she likes you. People naturally point their bodies where they want to be mentally. Look up Kevin Hogan on YouTube, it's a persuasion technique to know if they are focused. If she wanted to leave the room her body would be facing a door for instance. That occasional foot touch is coincidental possibly but could also be her trying to make bodily contact, all beings do that to indicate to others " this one is mine". So my advice is to get her alone and tell her you like her and you think she likes you too.

I've for that end I liked a guy and didn't want him to think I was flirting with him. Bc I liked him and I thought flirting as tacky so I didn't want him To think that's what I was about. I'm just going to tell you that in like seventh grade we had four desks that were organized in a group. This guy sat across from me and I liked to stretch my legs and cross them. I would accidentally touch his legs sometimes and he ended up thinking that I was playing footsie with him and that I liked him, which I didn't. The point is it could mean that she likes you, with the way you described it, but it could also not. I wouldn't be brave enough to do this to a guy I like, so that would not be the case with me, but she seems to be different so she might like you.

When I sit next to strangers and accidentally touch them I automatically apologise because it's rude if I didn't!
She may like you but don't look too into it pal, it might be nothing. If you got your hopes up and she doesn't like you then you'll be gutted :(

I wouldn't entirely agree on that considering the circumstances. There is no way you can mistakenly cross your legs and point your foot centimetres from someone's leg when sitting side by side one another. There is no way she could of not noticed I was there. The table wasn't exactly big, besides her leg was still the whole time, then she gently moved her that little bit forward to brush my leg. She knew it was close already.
