Girl's Behavior

My friend thinks this guy likes me but I don't think so, she says I'm being naive, am I?

My friend think I'm being naive she thinks this guy is into me and likes me yet he has a new girlfriend and they supposed just had sex (he was a virgin) he's my ex boyfriend best friend and they hung out a lot. His friend said I was fine and I think once he told my ex he wanted a girl like me or he wanted a relationship like ours. (Out relationship was perfect, I loved him and treated him like My king and we spent so much time together and I thought I was just a great girl for him but he just started changing and didn't care to be with me anymore) anyway this guy was nice to me, he always said hi to me and smiles at me and even after the break up he still says hi (idk usually my exes Friends don't talk to me anymore) so this guy, well I'll call him my friend since he is. My friend saw me at prom and said hey for the first time in two months. I got a lot of compliments. So I don't know if that was the case of why he said
Hi to me. Like okay I walked past him and I heard my name (it was really loud so I could hardly hear) so I turnedaround and looked as I was walking away and he turned around and looked at me and I'm like doing hand motions like "me? You said hey?" And we're just laughing because it got confusing and well now he's looking at me in the halls a lot. A couple days ago he came into my class, I don't know why but I was kind of bent over/leaning on these talk desks and my friend turned around and saw him and so did the whole class then I finally turned around and his head moved to the other direction when he left my friend told me he was staring at me for the longest and when I turned around that's why he turned his head in the direction
